Rosa Parks and Bus Boycott
Room 02
It started when Rosa Parks wanted to make a stand and sat in a white person's spot on a local bus. She later got arrested for her actions. Once it was announced that she got arrested, blacks started not to ride the bus as a protest. The protest lasted about a year and and the Montgemory buses and the town of Montgemory all lost money and revenue. Those acts lead to the law passed that any race could sit any where with any one. This movement really sparked the whole civil rights movement going and lead to want it is today.

Local African Americans and blacks gathered in Selma Alabama on March 7th 1965, and marched to Montgomery. They marched to try and get voting rights. They tried 2 times and were might with violence with it ¨Boodly Sunday". On the 3rd time with military protect they successfully made it to the capital. Later it led to black voting rights and that the Jim Crow laws were unconstitutional. This is important because blacks could have a say/opinion on what the country they live in and support should follow.
