Segregation in schools was ending but wasn't ending quick enough, which the case lasted through 1952-54 taking place in the Supreme court. A fight for right and wrong between whether the color of your childs skin meant they would get good eduaction or not. which wouldnt actualy take action till nearly 10 years later

A black woman didn't want to give up her seat, leading to her arrest and the protesting of manys like her. Taking place in Montgomery Alabama, 1955-56.A truly foundational event that helped shaped the future of americans. When african americans stopped riding the bus, the companies would realize that they would lose out on tons of money by telling people where to sit. Leading to the supreme court ending bus segregation in december, 1956.

Martin Luther King Jr (MLK) was a black man who wanted to end segregation. In August 28, 1963, he made a speech at the Lincoln Memorial to millions which effected bilions.

Bloody Sunday

Bloody Sunday was a deadly massacre that occured on January 30, 1972 at Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It happened when civil rights activists protested which made the British soldiers shoot the protestors. It killed 13 and injured 14.

Freedom Riders

On May 4, 1961, blacks and whites rode an interstate bus together with the plan of banning segregation on interstate travel which took place from Washington D.C. and ended in New Orleans. But the interstate bus crashed on May 14, 1961 at Anniston Alabama.
