Meet Waldy!

Can you tell us a bit about your background?

I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the US when I was eight years old. Now, work as our Lead IT Engineer.

What would you say your people are most known for?

Dominicans are known for their food, such as Mangu, La bandera, Mofongo (which Puerto Ricans also claim as their dish - one of our big disagreements 🤪), and Tostones, among many others.

We are also known for our baseball players. Since 1995, we have been the top country in producing foreign MLB players. Additionally, we have el carnival, a big festival where people dress up and parade around different cities in the country.
