Beskidy Mountains

Different ways in which people worked in ancient times in the country and how they used to work with sustainable materials.

What did we learn?

Because it is an activity in which we where shown the uses of wool from ancient times to modern day.

Why were these activities relavant in the project?

We arrived at the mountains and went to a place where there were some goats and sheep, and we were looking at piles of wool yarn upstairs. Then we had a look at the mountains and attended a talk at the lace museum, where they explained why it is has the UNESCO recognition.

How was it carried out?

To go on an excursion to a natural enviroment, and to visit other places such as the lace museum or the bank of seeds.

Why did we do this activity?

Beskidy Mountains

The mountains were situated in an area which borders trhee countries: Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. There was a park where, just by crossing a small bridge, you could be in the other countries and when you arrived there, there was a sign with its name and the coat of arms of the corresponding country.

Triple frontier

This project is directly related to the "zero waste" initiative, but it is also a very interesting activity as it describes an outdoor excursion without any enviromental disturbing factors. We learnt about sustainable materials and the care for the environment.
