Australian Literature is one of the oldest literatures in the world. It first started with Aboriginal story-telling, but "Australian Literature" started in 1798 with Watkin Tench's "Complete account of the settlement of Port Jackson". Australian literature is divied into 6 parts: Early Colonial (from late 18th century to early 19th century), Bush Ballad Era (Mid 19th century to Early 20th), Colonial Literature (Late 19th to Early 20th century), Modernism (Early 20th to Mid 20th), Indigenous Resurgence (Mid to Late 20th century) and the Contemporary Diversity (Late 20th century to Today).

Aboriginal Australians are the various Indigenous peoples of the Australian mainland (only having 3.8% of the population) and many of its islands, excluding the ethnically distinct people of the Torres Strait Islands. Humans first migrated to Australia at least 65,000 years ago, and over time formed as many as 500 language based groups.

Brisbane is the biggest city (by land area) in Australia and is the capital of Queensland, with a little over 2.5 million people and an area over 15,500 km2. Brisbane has many places to visit like the Brisbane River, South Bank Parklands, Botanic Gardens, New Farm Park and many more wonderful places to visit.
Hobart is the capital of Tasmania that is located 100km from Australia's Mainland. Hobart is the least populated capital city in Australia after Darwin and is the second smallest city by population in Australia. Tasmania is famous for the Old and New Art Museum, the General Post Office and the Cascade Brewery.
Canberra is the capital of Australia and Australian Capital Territory and is the eighth-largest Australian city overall. The city is located at the northern tip of the Australian Alps. Canberra hosts a little over 465,000 people. Canberra is famous for Mount Ainslie, Australian War memorial, Telstra Tower, The National Library, National Gallery of Australia and the Parliament House, where the Prime Minister lives.
Melbourne is the biggest and most populous city with 5,2 million people in the state of Victoria and has the second most people in Australia, after Sydney. Melbourne is about 9,993 km2 big and is home of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Royal Exhibition Building and Flinders Street Station. Melbourne is also famous for its skyline and Kings Domain.
Perth is the capital of Western Australia and is the fourth most populous city in Australia, with over 2.1 million people, and has an area of 6,300 km2. Perth hosts the Perth Stadium, Perth Town Hall, Yagan Square, Swan bells and the Elizabeth Quay Bridge. Perth is bounded by the Swan River to the south and east and Kings Park on the western end. Perth is also known for having a lot of Irish and British born residents.
The Prime Minister of Australia makes decisions and passes bills, but the house of representatives have to approve the bills and decisions, but the head of state, King Charles III, is represented locally by the governor-general. The Prime Minister sits in the middle of the Parliament, the Senators sit on his right, and the house of Representatives on his left.
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia and is the fifth most populated city in Australia, with 1,3 million people. Adelaide has an area of 3,260 km2 and is near the Great Australian Bight. Adelaide was also the original host of the Australian Grand Prix in 1905. Adelaide is famous for Saint Peter's Cathedral, Victoria Square and Adelaide City Centre.
Darwin is the capital city of Northern Territory with nearly 140,000 people, and has 53% of the Northern Territories population. Darwin is on the coast of Australia, facing the Indian Ocean. Darwin is famous for the Stuart Highway that connects South Australia with Darwin. Darwin is famous for the Darwin CBD, the Parliament house, Darwin waterfront and the Government house.
Sydney, capital of NSW, is the second largest city in Australia and the most populous city in Australia, with about 5.3 million people, and an area of 12,000 km2. Sydney is nicknamed the Emerald city, or the Harbour city. Sydney has some of the best places to visit, like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, the Hawkesbury River and the Royal National Park.
