*October 17th, presentation of the month’s activities and inauguration of the exhibition on Spain’s PCI assets at UNESCO. Claustro de Fonseca. 12:00 pm.
Ourense: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE, ICH
From October 17 to November 16 (in collaboration with the University of Vigo and the Xaquín Lorenzo Popular Culture Centre of the Ourense Provincial Council)
• October 17
– Exhibition’s opening "As imaxes do Patrimonio" at the Faculty of Education and Social Work. 12:00 p.m.
- Tribute to Florencio de Arboiro. 18:45 p.m.
- Opening ceremony with speeches by the Rector of the University of Vigo and President of the Ourense Provincial Council
• Speech by Fátima Braña Rey on the meaning of the International Day of Intangible Heritage.
• Speech by Professor Xosé Manuel Cid, in gratitude to Florencio de Arboiro for his contribution to the visibility of the Galician-Portuguese Intangible Cultural Heritage. Screening of the documentary "The last journey of the sharpener" by Aitor Rei. 7:00 p.m.

11.15h - Performance by TUNESCE–Tuna of the School of Business Sciences, IPVC Viana do Castelo
11.30h/12.30h – Round table discussion: “So... what is Intangible Cultural Heritage?...”
Speakers:
Álvaro Campelo (anthropologist, professor at Fernando Pessoa University), author of the work “Legends of the Minho Valley” among others)
Augusto Canário (musician and bearer of the Galician-Portuguese intangible heritage)
Maria de Lourdes Carita (professor and founding member of the Cultural and Pedagogical Association Ponte...nas ondas!)
Arlindo Sousa (councillor of the Valença do Minho City Council)
