Stats
1. Average
central value that represents a dataset, calculated by summing all values and dividing by the number of values.
2. Standard Deviation
how spread out data is from the average, with a higher standard deviation indicating more variation.
3.Standard Uncertainity
how much a sample mean is likely to deviate from the average.
4. Confidence Interval
is a guess of range of possible values that the number could be.
1. Average
the height that represents a group of people. Adding the heights and then dividing by the total number of people.
2. Standard Deviation
standard deviation of 3 inches, this means that most of the students' heights are within 3 inches of the average height.
3.Standard Uncertainity
You can't be absolutely precise. You might estimate the height to be 71.4 inches +/- 0.1
4. Confidence Interval
"We're 95% confident that the true average height of all men in your city is between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 1 inch."
