VT1 & ZONE TRAINING
One biomarker we measure is called VT1 or Ventilatory Threshold 1.

VTI is the end of Zone 2 and the begining of Zone 3

VT1 & ZONE TRAINING
VT1 is an important biomarker because it is the intensity at which the individual can no longer exercise indefinitely.
As exercise intensity increases, we produce more metabolic waste. The point at which this waste is produced exceeds the rate that it can be disposed of is our first ventilatory marker or VT1, Ventilatory Threshold 1.
Zone 3
VTI is the end of Zone 2 and the begining of Zone 3
Zone 2
VT2 & ZONE TRAINING
VT2 is a strong predictor of endurance performance, especially for events lasting 30-60 minutes.
Zone 5
Zone 4
VT2 marks the end of Zone 3 and the beginning of Zone 4

VT2 & ZONE TRAINING
Another key biomarker to consider is VT2 or Ventilatory Threshold 2.
VT2 occurs at about 75-85% of an individual's maximum oxygen uptake (VO2 max).
Zone 4
VT2 marks the end of Zone 3 and the beginning of Zone 4
