As the movement grew, so did the worsening treatment of the participants. Other angry costumers dumped food on them even when they did nothing wrong.
The original lunch counter, where the four sat, is now held in a museum, demonstrating the impact and signifigance the movement had.

Little Rock 9
The Little Rock 9 were a group of honor students from an all black school. Their ages ranged and even though they were all still young, their age did not affect their treatment.
The community was so opposed to the integration that the 9 needed escorts all the way into the school
The 9 had such a large impact that statues were made of them in their honor.
This is a Black Power poster from the 60s. This poster shows how they wanted change immiedietly and that they were willing to do whatever it takes to bring change.
