CANVAS HOMEPAGE Remember in your homepage to write something about you, your email, classroom phone number and create links for your modules, assignments etc... Always try to create the homepage as easy as possible so that students don't have a problem looking for information.
DISTRICT MEETINGS AND MODULES Remember to do the assignments in you modules. When you are done with each assignment let me know. Also, remember to dedicate time of your preparation time during the year to observe other teachers in the building so that you can learn from them.
PRINT STUDENT CLASS Go to encore, student information system, reports, student grids/Lines 1. Select periods and grids
STS REQUEST Go to encore, logistics, work order/ service requests, service request 1. Add new request 2. Fill out all the form and submit. You will receive a notification at your email.
EMAIL PARENTS AND STUDENTS Go to encore, student management, student information. Put your mouse where say email students: 1. Write your subject and email 2. Add students (you can use an email for all your classes) 3. At the bottom of the page click on Include Emailing Guardian. 4. Send email Note: You can click INCLUDE MISSING ASSIGNMENTS and students will have a report of all the missing assignments that they have in mydsd
CANVAS Publish the canvas courses: 1. Go to settings, navigation and drag down the items that you don't want the students to see. 2. Go to Course details and add a picture. Then, go at the bottom of the page and click SHOW RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS ON COURSE HOME PAGE so that students read the announcements when they open your course. 3. Choose a home page: 3.1 Go to pages, then view all pages, go to the 3 dots and look for the page you want to add as a front page The FJH course template with the home page, grading scheme and rubric is on the commons in Canvas. To download this into your course:
- Open canvas
- Go to “Commons” on the left navigation bar
- Search for: FJH template 2024-2025, or you can search for “Erin Denos” it is the only thing that comes up if you search for my name.
- Click it to open
- On the right side of the screen click “Import/Download”
- Then you can click the different courses that you would like this template to import to.
