Her and a group of other called african americans started a council called the NAACP to boycott the bus system. By not using the buses. The Bus company lost a lot of money because no African Americans were riding on the buses. The bus company decided to make all buses equal. meaning their stopped being a "whites only section".

Greensboro sit-ins

The Greensboro sit-ins happened because African Americans weren't getting served at white restaurants. a group of them decided to sit in restaurants until they got served. Lots of restaurants had to paint over their "white only" signs because of the number of African Americans that participated in the peaceful protest. they took up a lot of space at the restaurants. space that their other customers (their white customers) couldn't sit at.
