Introduction

Greenpeace is a non-governmental organization from around the world that is dedicated to defending the environment and promoting peace. It was established in 1971 in Canada and employs non-violent tactics to report environmental issues and push governments and companies to adopt more sustainable practices.

Worldwide, Greenpeace has been around for over 50 years and is present in 57 countries, (for example, developing global campaigns to protect the planet and tackle climate change alongside the communities that are on the front lines of these struggles! ( Example of Paise: Nairobi - Kenya; São Paulo -Brazil; Jakarta -Indonesia)

How they raise funds?

• Most of Greenpeace’s resources come from donations from people, for examplewhen someone decides to leave part of their estate to the organization in their will.

• Fundraising events.
• Greenpeace sells various products with its brand, such as t-shirts, mugs and other items, and uses the funds obtained to finance its activities.
• The organization does not accept funds from governments, companies or political parties. Financial independence is necessary for Greenpeace to act freely and defend the environment without external interference.
