THE AMERICAN FLAG

The American flag, also called The Stars and Stripes. It consist of a blue rectangle in the canton representing the 50 states, and the thirteen equal horizontal stripes of red alternating with white representing the thirteen British colonies.

The US is a larger-than-life country, consisting of 50 states, and a federal district, Washington D.C. The United States is bordered on the north by Canada, on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, on the south by the Gulf of Mexico and Mexico.The United States is home to a wide variety of climates. In general it has a contenintal climate with cold winters, and hot summers.
