The Great Gatsby is a story that follows the perspective of a character named Nick Carraway set in the 1920s, we are introduced to many other characters but most importantly Jay Gatsby. As the novel progresses we are told that Gatsby had always loved Daisy, who is married to Tom Buchanan, naturally there is a lot of tension especially when both Tom and Gatsby are in the same room.
