Conclusion

Three servants come to work at the house, and soon the family begin hearing and seeing strange things. The tension builds as the servants share knowledge of some deadly events that happened in the house. Are the servants to blame for the strange happenings, or is something else going on?

Like marmite, you'll love this movie, or hate it. The director uses an artistic style to build to the climax of the story, and this slow progress becomes quite boring.Kidman and Man deliver wonderfully convincing performances, but features of the story are rather unbelievable, such as the children's sun allergy! If viewers can imagine historical wartime life, they may find enjoyment in the final plot twist.

On the small island of Jersey, off the British coast, 'The Others' follows a small family living in isolation after World War II. Mom, Grace, cares for her two children, Anne and Nicholas, who both suffer from a sunlight allergy. But, the closed curtains are not the only source of darkness in this movie.
