Our Focus today: The Boston Tea Party
- After King George passed the Tea Act no one wanted to buy tea from Great Britian, so there was a lot of tea in the Boston Harbor waiting to be unloaded.
- The people of Boston refused to unload it and it just sat there.

- Colonists decided to get rid of the unwanted tea in the Boston Harbor.
- On the night of December 16, 1773, dozens of Sons of Liberty boarded the ships illegally.
- They threw the unwanted tea into the Boston Harbor.

- After King George III and Parliament hears about this, they close the Boston Harbor.
- This means no food or goods could come into the city.
