Overview

The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution guarantees every American citizen “equal protection under the laws.” However, in 1896 the Supreme Court ruled in Plessy v. Ferguson that segregation laws did not violate the Fourteenth Amendment as long as services for the two races were more or less equal, but they were almost never equal, schools for African Americans were deteriorated, old and had almost no library materials such as books and maps. In a white school, an African American was training to be a teacher and had to listen to class in a separate room, until in 1953 the NAACP appeared and Oliver Brown sued the state for the right to send his daughter to a white school. white neighborhood instead of the black school that was much further away. NAACP lawyers presented their arguments before the Supreme Court, in their argument they said that segregated schools could never be “equal” simply by separating People, in 1954, had refused the NAACP to establish a school for any type of race, but finally a year later they accepted it and it was an advance for other schools throughout the United States.

Overview

Rosa Parks

It all started when Rosa Parks got on a bus where the section for African Americans was completely occupied. I was too tired and didn't want to endure the whole trip. He saw that there was a place where white people sat and he sat down. He barely sat down. The driver notices and begins to talk to him in a very bad way to get him to get off the bus. She didn't want to get off because she wanted to go home, until the driver called the police and they took her to prison.

the NAACP because it was the one that started everything so that the schools were for whites and African Americans and if that was not the case at least so that the schools for African Americans were just as good as those for whites

The NAACP

the court because he had not accepted that the school was for whites and for African Americans but after 1 year he accepted it

the buses because if the whole bus boyvott thing hadn't happened before they would never have made that trip

The buses

the KU/KLUX/KLAN because if they had not attacked the freedom riders they could have gone on their way

The restaurants

The restaurants were an artifact because it all started when African-American people went to protest at a restaurant and were given food even though they were African-Americans, but they did not give them food.

the police because it was not something they should have taken her to jail, at most they should have told her not to do it but it would also be wrong because there was nothing wrong with her sitting there.

The police

the driver because if he hadn't said it in such a bad way I think Rosa Parks would have changed places

Buses

The buses are an artifact because everything started when Rosa Parks got on a bus, where they took her to prison for sitting in a place where white people sit and after that the bus boycott started.
