Greensboro sit ins
On 1960 1, Febuary the Greensboro sit ins started with four African Americans sitting at the white only counter. But, the waitress wouldn't serve them food for the whole day. The next day nine-teen people came in to the sit in protest. They still wouldn't give the people any food. Then, the next day they brought 92 people. The Place was packed with people African Americans and whites. People running the counters and restaurants were losing money because they were taking up all the space, so he resturont owerns made the resturonts integrated.

In 1962 MLK came to Brimingham to protest. They were protesting to Mountgomry. It was going pretty well until Bull Connor stopped them and forced them to go back. MLK was arrested on the first march. MLK wrote a letter on the civil rights act. The second march they brought kids in because people were scared to be arrested or beaten up. They were stopped by hoses and dogs. on the 3rd march they finaly finished there march by help with the government.

On April 4th 1968 Martain Luther King Jr. was shot at the Larrani motel. Everyone was shocked and the civil rights movements were kind of stopped. Nobody was taking and building on what MLK was doing. There was supposed to lead a march in Memphis but was stopped by the death. Now, the motel is the National Civil Rights museum.
the hoses were used to nock people down and make then scared and run away. The hoses were powerful and could really hurt. They reasled the hoses on anyone even children .

Laraine Motel
The motel that MLK was staying at was called Laraine motel. The motel now is called national civil rights muesum and has so much to see.

On the second march they brought kids in to march because they thought that they wouldn't hert the kids. But they did they were beaten with hoses and gaurd dogs bit them. The whole plan vanished.

What MLK was doing in memphis
Martian Luther King Jr. was in Memphis for a protest. He was supposed to lead them, but he was assassinated, so they never did it.

The room where MLk was assassnated was in room 306 at lorraine motel. This room is frozen in time and they have almost kept the room the same from the day he was assassnated. now it is national civil rights mussem and the room is in there and out side is the cars from the 19,60s

Second Day Of SIt Ins
TOn the second day of the protest 19 people came to protest at the counter. They were waiting peacfully but then some police came in and some were arrested and others beaten. Even though they weren't doing anything bad.

The first Four
These are the fist four teenaged boys walked into a breakfist place. They sat at the white only counter and the waiter said something like "Your a disgrace to our raise. The four boys did not get served their food. They waited the whole day to get served but it never happened.

The final March
The final march they got help by the govenment. They finaly got to there destnation at Montgomery AL. They took away segragation but people still didn't follow the law. The KKK was getting bigger.

The End
tThe sit ins started on february 1, 1960 with 4 men. the oweners ignored them at first beacuse there was only 4 and is was not doing anything. Then on february 4 the line to get in was out the door and more than 300 people showed up. then on july 25th, 1960 the resturants intergrated 😄.
