In order to get progress on intagrating schools their were nine students chosen called the little rock nine to attend school in central high a white school. Their were soliders gaurding the school to show everybody protesting they were not going to take anything. It ended up successful untill the next year the govener used a last resort and close the school for a year.

MLK got shot on april 4th 1968 at the Lorraine motel. As he was leaving the motel to go to memphis for his black community historical importnace. In the photo to the side it shows mrtins guards pointing to where they heard the gunshot that hit martin luther king jr.

Central high is the high school that the 9 students went to. It was the first school that black students went to but wasn't integrated for a while.

MLK gave his speach on the lincoln memorial steps
In the backround of MLK´s speach the Washington Monument was shows which is across the fountain in the middle between lincoln memorial and washington memorial
