In order to get progress on intagrating schools their were nine students chosen called the little rock nine to attend school in central high a white school. Their were soliders gaurding the school to show everybody protesting they were not going to take anything. It ended up successful untill the next year the govener used a last resort and close the school for a year.

In Washington D.C Martin Luther King Jr gave a speech that is one of the most iconic speeches of all time. It was a big part on how segragation stopped.

In this photo Martin Luther King Jr is giving the famous I Have a Dream speech to a massive croud in washington dc.

MLK got shot on april 4th 1968 at the Lorraine motel. As he was leaving the motel to go to memphis for his black community historical importnace. In the photo to the side it shows mrtins guards pointing to where they heard the gunshot that hit martin luther king jr.

This is a dress one of the nine brave little rock nine students wore when going to school

Central high is the high school that the 9 students went to. It was the first school that black students went to but wasn't integrated for a while.

The news paper the day MLK was assassinated. It shows just how important he was and how is was a big deal when he died and gow it impacted the movments

The motel that he got shot at today is the national civil rights mueseum.
