This is an image of a Little Rock Nine student fighting through the mobs.

This is an image of one of the Little Rock Nine high school diplomas.

A National Gaurd standing in front of Central High School.

In this image the Little Rock Nine student is getting yelled at, but she isn't fighting back. Through all the violence against the Little Rock Nine they never fought back showing resiliance.

The Little Rock Nine is a group of nine talented black students who attended the black-only high school. They were chosen out of 80 students to be the first black teens to go to the white-only high school, Central High. The first day they were supposed to go to the shool the Governer of Little Rock made troops block the doors so they couldn't get in. Then the federal government got involved and sent a thousand troops to ensure the students got into the school safely. They had to protect the Little rock Nine from Angry Mobs.

This image is the first desegrated school showing that the brown vs board of education has worked but it has took a long time for all the schools to get desegragated.

On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks sat in the section of the bus only for white people. She was arrested for refusing to give up her seat. The blacks that took the bus in Montgomery banned together to start a boyott of the busses. Blacks found different ways to get where they wanted to go, they started car pools and walked. The Montgomery Bus Boycott lasted 382 and the bus company's lost so much money.

This image shows that the United States National Government was finally getting involved in integration. This is important because the town of Little Rock has little power over the national government.

The fact that the Little Rock Nine students not only went to the White-only high school, but they also did really well there. This shows that there is no reason to segragate.

this is such a monumental event in the civil rights movement because it shows that the Mongomery bus boycott worked. It shows that blacks can successfully remove a unjust law.

The Board of Education was a case of brown vs Board of Education. John W. Davis argued for the states that it was a local problem and that each state should be able to decide weather they should segregate or not.The NAACP argued that the schools could never be equal the fact the separation happened shows that one side is the though of as better. The outcome was that schools couldn't be separated but equal this flipped the Plessy vs Ferguson case. A year later the court ended school segregation.

this is the same bus that Rosa Parks started the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Without her doing this the boycott would have never happened. This bus is a key movement in the civil rights movement.

people offering these rides ensured that the 99% of blacks boycotting the buses could go to work or wherever they went. This was important because it shows how blacks worked together during the boycott.

This picture shows the kids protesting for not having school and not having any education. They are upset that the board of education is taking so long to actually desegregate their schools.

The news of the Brown vs Board of Education spread fast throughout the south. The news was frightening for the southerners who didn't want to change.
