What is a kenning?
Who might this kenning be describing?
Answer:
A kenning is a type of poem that describes somebody or something using figurative language. Two words are linked together with a hyphen to create a descriptive phrase. The first word is usually a noun and the second word usually ends in ‘er’. For example, if you enjoy playing football, you would become a ‘football-lover’ or if you eat lots of pasta, you would become a ‘pasta-eater’.
