Today, through a game, we’ll explore how we can create spaces where everyone feels respected and valued—especially focusing on LGBTQ+ inclusion

Your mission is to navigate through a series of challenges that will test your problem-solving skills, teamwork, and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Each puzzle you solve will bring you one step closer to finding the key elements and escaping. All while learning how to build a more inclusive environment. You will be divided into teams, so you'll have to work together! You have 25 min to escape.

You can determine the pronouns you feel most comfortable with. A ‘simple’ way to recognise and respect people’s identities inside and outside the company is by stating our and asking for chosen pronouns. Stating our pronouns and asking for others’ shows we care for everyone’s identity, helps create a welcoming environment, and promotes a culture where everyone feels seen and valued. By acknowledging and using each person's chosen pronouns, we can build stronger, more inclusive teams. To learn about how to add pronouns to your signature visit the Intranet.

GENDER IDENTITY is how individuals perceive themselves and how they call or refer to themselves. Gender identity can be the same or different from the one a person was assigned at birth. GENDER EXPRESSION is how a person manifests their "gender". It can include the way of speaking, mannerisms, way of dressing, personal behaviour, social interaction, body modifications, among other aspects. It constitutes the expressions of gender that each person lives, whether imposed, accepted or assumed.
