A Mountain out of a Molehill

James climbs onto his bike and puts on his helmet. Today, he is going mountain biking with his friend, Todd. The trail down the mountain looks longer and steeper than James expected! “I don’t think you can do it!” Todd teases James. “I’m scared I'll wreck my new bike or injure my knee!” James replies with a tremble in his voice.

A Mountain out of a Molehill

Todd laughs! “I knew you’d be too afraid!” he says. Before James can reply, Todd is speeding down the trail. James wants to prove Todd wrong, so he takes a deep breath and pedals toward the edge of the cliff. He grips the handlebars till his knuckles turn white.

A Mountain out of a Molehill

Whoosh! James feels like he is flying! It isn’t as scary as he thought, but when he gets to the bottom of the trail, his limbs are shaking. “Whoa! That was cool!” James says. Todd gives James a thumbs up! “You were just making a mountain out of a molehill!”

Thank you!

Goodbye
