The Phone Call
Theo and his brother have a thrilling occupation! They work as deepsea fishermen on a ship called The Thirsty Sailor.
Theo is thankful for his job, but he doesn't enjoy the bad weather at sea. His brother, Thor, loves the thunder! They couldn't be more different!
The Phone Call
Every Thursday, Theo calls his mother before he bathes and brushes his teeth. This week, there is no answer.
Theo is worried something has happened. What if a thief broke into their home or there was a fatal accident?
The Phone Call
Three hours later, Theo gets a call! "I thought something happened to you!" Theo scolds his mom. Theo's mother laughs! "I went for a hike, but I took the wrong path and got lost!" she replies.
Theo breathes a sigh of relief. He wishes his mother would be more careful!
The Phone Call: Dialogue
I was worried because I thought something happened to you!
Thank you for caring, Theo! I am fine and there is nothing to worry about. I must take a map or a compass next time I go hiking!
Mom
Theo
You should take a map and your phone next time please, Mom!
I'm sorry I made you worry, but you know how forgetful I am. How are you and your brother?
Thor and I are working hard, but we earn a high salary, for the work is very dangerous.
Thank you!
Goodbye
