A internet deverá ser considerada como a maior invenção do séc XX. E tudo terá partido de um satélite que permitiu a comunição entre o espaço e a terra onde estava um recetor.

34 anos depois... o mundo rendeu-se a esta invenção que provocou uma revolução. E cada vez mais, as nossas vidas, dependem desta rede de ligações onde tudo se encontra e tudo se conecta.

Desde instituições de bens e serviços, até às escolas, em todas elas tivemos de nos adpatar e aprender - desenvolvendo competências (ou skils) para poder usar a Internet e tirar dela os maiores benefícios

A popularidade da Internet é tanta que hoje em dia é normal observar diversas gerações, a usá-la, com mais ou menos facilidade. O seu uso vai desde o requer um serviço, realizar uma publiação ou simplesmente, enviar uma mensagem ou partilhar fotografia.

Contudo, os que agora nascem, são confrontados com esta tecnologia e mais rapidamente conseguem dominá-la e usá-la como se fosse algo inato a si. A este conceito chamamos de Nativo digital.

As competências dos nativos digitais no uso e domínio do digital, são muito maiores do que aqueles que conhecem a internet e as suas potencias quando a sua aprendizagem já foi feita e agora têm algo novo para aprender. A estes chamamos de Imigrantes Digitais
