What is a MOOC
This MOOC is based on four key intentions. To provide a learning experience which is:
- Learner-centered – the content is developed with practicing teachers in mind so that learning is situated and of relevance to the classroom
- Flexible – the content can be accessed at any time and on any device.
- Interactive – the content combines self-study and reflection with hands on interaction in context and with peers.
- Inclusive – the course is open to all teachers involved in primary English education in Portugal, no matter where they are in Portugal.
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are courses that offer quality learning experiences for in-service teachers.
