Intergenerational prayer cards: Creative prayer for all
What is it?
Prayer is an opportunity to encounter God. It can involve words spoken in a group, art we hang on our walls, or a stroll in the park.
The new Methodist prayer cards offer 52 different prompts for creative prayer; different ways that we can fulfil the Methodist Way of Life commitment to "pray daily" as far as we are able, with God's help. The cards can be used by individuals or groups, at church events onsite and online, in homes, schools and care homes. Available as a printed pack or a free PDF. "We are a small RAF congregation. To help members of the church (especially those not used to saying much in worship) to share in our ‘prayers for others’, I gave out cards... This has given them confidence to do more in worship now."

Sunshine and showers: prayer's beautiful messiness
What is it?
Are you looking for ways to refresh and re-energise the way your community prays?
Prayer is foundational to our faith. It's how we communicate with God, and it is the fuel that powers our evangelism, mission and discipleship. It's the sunshine that brings a smile to our face and brings light to hidden places, and the rain that helps plants grow.
Publication date:
2023
And yet, for many people, it is one of the hardest things about being a follower of Jesus, partly because it is not straightforward. Prayer is full of mystery and paradox, things that are true and yet contradictory – like the classic British weather forecast of sunshine and showers.

Sunshine and showers: The Bible's beautiful strangeness
What is it?
Are you looking for ways to refresh the way your community uses the Bible?
The Bible is beautiful: it contains wisdom, humour, great stories and deep comfort. But it is a strange book, and not necessarily easy to use. This is the reality of dealing with such a set of ancient texts, but sometimes it feels like we must be doing something wrong.
Part of the challenge is that the Bible is full of paradoxes. It doesn’t always make sense in a simple way. Different aspects of it can seem contradictory, and yet true.

Conversations Against Mundanity
What is it?
For conversations that get a little more real. Mundanity, noun; being very ordinary and not interesting. A good conversation can unlock parts of us that little else can. There’s nothing wrong with chatting about the everyday – it’s what fills most of our lives after all – but those don’t tend to be the conversations we remember. Instead we remember when we were honest enough with one another to open up and say something real and true.
This game tries to kickstart those kinds of conversations. Because sometimes we want – need – more than small talk. Sometimes we’re hungry for something more than the mundane.
