GE Monitors:
Graphic Trends
A quick picture of the heart
Mindray Monitors:
The graphic trends show you a picture of the hearts activity before you ever open a strip. You're able to see any afib/flutter runs, svt, VT/VF, pacing, sinus, and heart blocks. This helps you see high heart rates, length of runs, low heart rates, and the frequency of each.

- Sudden spikes can be caused by artifact or a tachyarrhythmia
The graphic trend for NSR will look like a worm. It will have waves/hills/bell shape, where the heart rate gradually moves up and down.

SVT and Flutter are both mostly regular rhythms, so when they appear on the graphic trends they will be in a fairly straight line.

- The top image is a more controlled afib, with heart rates staying between 80 and 120.
- The second image is of Afib RVR, with sudden drops showing conversion into NSR.
With Afib, the graphic trend will look more like a caterpillar or an etch-a-sketch. There's ups and downs, but they happen faster than those of a sinus rhythm.
