Around My Town

Clare has a lot to do today. Before she eats lunch with her dear aunt Mare, she must go to town to do a few jobs. Down the stairs, Clare must choose: will she drive or ride her bike into town? She will shop for pears and a hairbrush, so she will drive.

Around My Town

Clare drives to the hospital where she waits in a chair to see the doctor. The doctor takes good care of Clare and tells her she is clear for a year. Clare cares for her doctor and is not scared.

Around My Town

In town, Mare visits the post office near the farmers market. She sends a letter to her bank. She fears she needs to go in there instead.

Around My Town

Clare buys pears at the farmers market. A clerk sells her a hairbrush at a store. She does not need to stop at the library in the square today.

Around My Town

Clare and Aunt Mare eat lunch at a restaurant. The waiter serves them a pair of rare steaks. They share fries. Clare hears her aunt’s cheer! It is a lovely affair!
