Florida is one of 50 states witch belongs to the United States of America. The state borders to the North with Georgia and Alabama. To the East, it is overlooks the Atantic Ocean.

Florida's climate is tropical, with warm winters and hot summers. In Florida there are a lot of parks and protected areas. The most famous park is National Park.

Symbolic animals of the state are the Florida's puma and alligator. The flag of Florida consists of a Saint Andrew's cross with the State in the centre.

HISTORY

In 1513 the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Lèon discovered Florida. In 1845 Florida has joined the United States of America. Juan Ponce de Lèon gave the name to Florida and derives from PASCUA FLORIDA in Spanish. Another name by which Florida is called is Sunshine State and it was adopted officially in 1970. The official languages are English and Spanish.

The capital of Florida is Tallahassee and the most important cities are: MIAMI,ORLANDO, JACKSONVILLE, KEY WEST. Tallahassee is an indian word that means “OLD TOWN”. The city is located in a district where agriculture and livestock farming are practiced. In Orlando there is the most famous DisneyLand . In Orlando there are "THE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS"

Florida, in this period, is affected by a serious hurricane called"MILTON". The hurricane arrived in night beetween 9th Cctober and 10th October, bringing stong thunderstorms and wings. Some people refugee in Sarsota have affirmed that thay seen objects flying. This is the second hurricane in 12 days. The first is "Helene", that has arrived in Florida,Georgia and Two Carolines.
