Place of birth

Dear diary, Let me introduce myself. I am Mary Cartwright, the third daughter of my family. We were five siblings, but unfortunately two of my brothers died during World War I. When I was eleven, I went to Leamington school then to Salisbury. At the beginning, my favourite subjet was History but in my last year I fell in love with Mathematics. In 1919, I started studying at St Hugh's College in Oxford. We were only five women! In 1923, I recieved my diploma with a first class mention.

Here are some newspapers. Read them and answer the question!

The Chaos theory is about how a small event can creat a huge and very different event in an absolutly other place. Just likr a butterfly could create an hurricane. That's Why it le called "the butterfly effect".

The well-known Chaos theory is about how a small event can create a huge and very different event in a completely other place. Just like a butterfly could create a hurricane. That's why it is called "the butterfly effect".

During the World War II, Mary Cartwright was one of the people who worked on the radar. She found a problem with a co-worker but they didn't find the solution.

If you can, go to the London Mathematical Society and prove yourself! If you can't, just continue reading our newspaper!

POLITICAL LIFE
The newspaper of England!

The threat of another war is looming above Europe! After the end of the World War, Germany is again causing problems. The tensions between the countries are increasing more and more. The government is already preparing for war with a lot of money invested in military research. Is it a good idea just after the economic crisis of 1930? After the so many losses during the World War, do we have to fear another one?

Already ten years! The movement of the feminist activists for women's right to vote is now a memory. Indeed, since January 1928 all women and men have been able to vote! This month we celebrate this huge progress in our country!
