Ninjas and Ropes
Flip the coin!
Instructions
Box 35
What a beautiful view! You spot a cliff ahead where you can see a gorgeous view of the sunset! Move 2 spaces forward. Just be careful not to slip and fall!
Spot 2
You stepped on a caltrop! Subtract 2 from your next roll.
Spot 9
You see your opponent in a moment of weakness. You choose to attack the player closest behind you. If you roll a 3-6, they lose their next turn. If you roll a 1 or a 2, switch places with that player.
Box 20
Ninjas are famous for being quick on their feet. Roll a die. On a 6, you do not fall down the vine on this square. Roll less and you better hope you land on your feet.
Box 30
You have been taught by a wandering grandmaster ninja! Add +1 to each of your rolls for the rest of the game or until hitting another event space.
Box 27
A bottle of sake is every ninja's nectar and also their downfall. YOu fell down the rope on this square rather than crawling up.
Box 24
Drop a ninja spike on this space. The next player to land on this space gets -2 to their next roll.
Box 30
The path to victory is littered with the remains of those who failed. Such a sight is intimidating. Lose your next turn.
Spot 6
You've been ambushed! Roll a die. If the result is a 3 or lower, lose your next turn.
Box 20
Someone doesn't want you to win... Storms sweep through the valley. Lose your next turn.
Box 39
One man's downfall is another's path to greatness. You may choose to roll a die to try and climb the rope on this square. On a 6, you successfully climb the rope. Otherwise, lose your next turn.
Box 47
Zzzzzz.... Oh no! You overslept! Lose your next turn.
Box 21
Talk about falling upwards! You trip and stumble 4 spaces forward.
Spot 17
You find a grappling hook! The next time you land on a vine, roll the die. If you land a 4 or higher, you avoid falling down. This is a one time use item. Thank goodness for anachronisms...

Players will start by picking a ninja piece that represents themselves and place it down in the initial starting square, every player starts here. In age, from highest descending order will take turns flipping the coin. The ninjas move according to the numbering on the board. If, at the end of a move, a player lands on a square where a rope begins, they move up it to the square where it ends. If, on the other hand, they land on a square where a vine begins, they move down it to the square where it ends sending the player back and not forward. If a player rolls a 6, they can move twice in a single turn. If a player rolls three 6's in a row, they must return to the initial square and cannot move their token until they roll a 6 again. The player who reaches the final square is the winner. There is a variation where, if a player is six or fewer squares away from the end, they must roll precisely the number needed to reach it. If the number rolled exceeds the number of remaining squares, the player cannot move.
If the player falls on the bottom of a rope, they move up to the top square where the rope ends.

If the player lands on a square where the top starts, they go down to a lower square where the bottom is located.
