Just how high do the Crimean “mountains” get?
Answer:
Answer: Chatyr-Dag At 5,010 feet (1,527 meters) Chatyr-Dag is the 5th highest mountain in Crimea. Its name in Tatar (çatır dağ) translates as 'tent mountain.' The title of highest goes to Roman-Kosh, which stands just above Chatyr-Dag at 5,069 feet. Chatyr-Dag is the focus of one of Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz’s Crimean Sonnets. In the poem a member of the Tatar elite, an unnamed mirza, addresses the mountain.
