If you were a mirza contemplating the grandeur ofChatyr-Dag and you were suddenly overcome with
the urge to declaim poetry, what would you say?
Answer:
Answer:“To kiss your feet of stone, the trembling Muslim bows, O great Crimean mast, majestic Chatyr-Dag! O earth's own minaret! O mountains' padishah! You fled this realm of rock to dwell among the clouds. Like mighty Gabriel you sit at heaven's gate, Forbidding paradise to all who would draw near, Dark forests for your cloak — and, striking men with fear, Your turban spun from clouds, with lightning-threads ornate. While we live on below, sun-scorched and fog-obscured, Homes burned by infidels, and crops by locusts razed — You, Chatyr-Dag, endure — your mute and stone-still face Between the earth and sky, interpreting God's word; Above the thunderheads, the earth, the human race, You hear naught save what God speaks to the world.”
