Programs

Services

These are on going usually through different seasons that members can join during the structure program times. These can be drop in or closed programs. Can be 1 to an hour 1/2 long and curriculum usually builds on itself each class EXAMPLE: identity groups (Young men’s group/Sister circle/Alphabet group), Graphic Design, video production)

These are usually 1:1 supports and held with a case manager. These usually have to do with the wellbeing of a member. To receive services usually a referral form needs to be filled out EXAMPLE: Therapy, Housing/school supports, community service

Pop Ups: Drop in activities that can be joined at any time. These are usually new and curriculum does not build on itself EXAMPLE: DIY activities, video/board games

Definitions:

Cohort

Cohorts: Members are the recipients of learning opportunities. They do not perform work on behalf of the organization, but rather are afforded opportunities for learning and growing their social, emotional and political knowledge. Payments to cohort members are incentives and rewards for successful and committed participation throughout the cohort activities' term/duration. Cohort members are not employees of RYSE. EXAMPLE: Food Justice Cohort, Beyong Youth Organzing Cohort

Internship

Internships: Youth interns perform work on behalf of the organization, benefiting the operations and advancement of RYSE's mission. Internships are time-limited work experiences, not solely learning experiences, although they are receiving on the job training and support.
