Mentors benefit from journaling after sessions. It aids in summarizing key points, capturing insights, and maintaining focus throughout the mentoring relationship.
Filling out Exercise 7.1 made me reflect on the quality of my mentor interactions. I feel that upto now I've been doing the majority of the talking. I need my mentee to open up more.

When I was a new teacher, I recognized my classroom management needed improvement. However, a coworker's harsh criticism about my skills and students' lack of respect was unhelpful.
Effective feedback should be constructive, not just critical. It's crucial to both give and receive feedback skillfully to promote growth and improvement.
