Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is an example of Indo-Islamic architecture built during the Mughal Empire's rule of India. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan commissioned the project when one of his favorite wives Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace) died (1631).
