Beliefs in the society

1 Christianity and the church God and salvation: The most important belief was in God, and life focused on seeking salvation and access to heaven after death

2 Superstitions and supernatural beliefs. Witches and demons: Many people believed in witches, demons and evil forces that could influence daily life. Amulets and prayers were used for protection.

3 Social structure and divine right Divine right of kings: Kings and nobles were considered rulers appointed by God. This belief justified the feudal social hierarchy and the absolute power of the monarchs.

4 conception of the world Geocentrism: It was believed that the Earth was the center of the universe and that everything revolved around it, a belief that came from Greek astronomy and was adopted by the Church

5 The Crusades and holy war:The Crusades were based on the belief that it was a sacred duty to liberate Jerusalem and other holy places from Muslim hands. Those who participated in the Crusades believed they would gain forgiveness for their sins and a better life in the afterlife.

6 Limited education and knowledge Knowledge and science were closely linked to faith. Much of knowledge was controlled by the Church, and any idea that challenged Christian doctrine could be considered heresy.

how was the culture in the middle ages?

the feudal system was a way to manage the levels in the society during the middle ages, it had 4 levels, at the bottom we have the slaves, who where the people who was poor and did all the hardest jobs in exchange for nothing they were basically prisioners, in the next level we have the vassals, they were like the peasants or citizen, they worked at the farm and harvested the lands and they worked in exchange of money. In the next level we have the nobles, knights etc. the nobles where like the people below the kings they lived in the castle and they were basically like the rich people and the knights had to protect the vassals and the lands. And in the final level we have the royalty who where the king and the queen, they were the most powerful people in the kingdom they controled the towns and the people.

The Feudal System

The society during the middle ages was in a way similar to now, it are a little now similar classes like now the president is a kind of king, the politics are like the nobles or dukes, and all of we are like the middle part like the people that have a job and can gain money to buy a house water or food, and the church still being the church but now they can´t do like decisions for the country like then that were the crusades.
