By Chiara Giavaldi
What is it?
It’s a celebration to take part every year, on 26th September. The general aim is to pay attention to Europe's rich linguistic and cultural diversity.
French
French is a romance language of the Indonesian-European family. French is an official language in 27 countries, as well as one of the most geographically widespread languages in the world. French is estimated to have about 310 million speakers.
Why I chose French?
Three curiosities about France
1. France is the most visited country in the world.2. It's forbidden to call a pig Napoleon.3. The biggest National celebration is on 14th July, the Fall of Bastille.
