Vocabulary
things about Australian phonetics is that they put words together and it's difficult to understand some example is: ''How are you?'' - '' Howaya'' When they talk it always seems like they are asking something but that is not the case. They often shorten the words. Arvo (afternoon) Bizzo (business) Footy (Football) Telly (Television) Barbie (Barbecue)
In Australian English the r is barely used, only when it is used in front of the vowel. In Australian English, some vowels differ from others in their duration, which can completely change the meaning of the concept.
