In the story, Atticus said you can kill all the blue jays but it is a sin to kill a mocking bird. The reason being bcause all they want to do is pour their heart and soul to sing a song. This is later shown where the black man losing the case and gets shot becuase he helped a woman and the woman didn't like him.

This is the Radley's house. A house that has a family that in the story is known for having a dark past and having the man living their Boo Radley, never coming out. In the end though he comes out to stop someone from killing the kids.

At the end of the story, the name character goes to a play where everyone is a food that the town offers. She plays the ham, but sleeps and misses her cue. When walking back though, she is attack by a knife but the costume saves her.

The main plot of the story is about the father trying to defend a black man in court in a time when racism was a common thing. In the end he proved everything to show the man's innocence but they all still said guilty. This changed the main character showing them the bad but also how you can't avoid it and you just have to deal with it.

This is a map of Maycomb. Maycomb is where the story takes place and is the place the main characters grow up in and the book never leaves it. The only time another place is told, is when a boy escapes his parents and talks about how he got back, mentioning other places.
