Convenção de Chicago

1994

• Por proposta dos EUA realizou-se em 7 de dezembro de 1944 a Convenção sobre Aviação Civil Internacional, também conhecida:
• Convenção de Chicago 1944 - responsável pelo estabelecimento das bases do Direito Aeronáutico internacional. (revista 8 vezes, sendo a última revisão de 2006)
• Esta Convenção propôs a criação da ICAO aos Estados-membros das Nações Unidas, tornando-a uma das suas agências especializadas;
• Contou com 52 países participantes, a ata final foi assinada por todos;
• O texto da Convenção entrou em vigor em 4 de abril de 1947 e é oficialmente republicado pela ICAO por intermédio do documento denominado Doc. 7300.
