Force Motion & Energy!

START

net force and simple machines!

"Every body persists in a state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces having impact upon it."

Sir Issac Newton

the net force on an object determines how an object moves

force motion & Energy

My example;the swing

[how to swing higher]

Lean back and raise your lower legs at just the right time. The more force I apply, the higher I swing.

+ INFO

simple machines increase or change the direction of a force.

FOrce motion & Energy

My example:Paper Catapult

i love this class!

+ INFO

Today we made paper catapults. A catapult is a compound machine that applies multiple simple machines. When you push down on one end of the lever, the force changes direction and pushes something in the opposite direction.

Thanks for watching my Presentation!

swing force & Motion

At the swing's lowest point, the forces involved include the tension in the swing's chains and the gravitational force on the child. Newton's second law tells us that these forces must add up to the mass of the child times the centripetal acceleration required to keep the child moving in a circular path.

catapult force & motion

A catapult utilizes the principle of stored potential energy being converted into kinetic energy to launch a projectile, essentially applying force to an object to propel it into motion; when the catapult arm is pulled back, it stores elastic potential energy in the material (like a rubber band), which is then released rapidly, transferring that energy to the projectile, causing it to fly through the air - demonstrating the concept of force and motion in action.
