ANOREXY; WHAT IS IT?
2. Introduction
Anorexia is an eating disorder that can affect both sexes, caused by an excessive, unlimited and uncontrolled desire to lose weight and maintain a certain standard of beauty.
4.Symptoms
Some symptoms of anorexia
Not eating enough food and being conscious of physical appearance is the first sign of Anorexia. Other symptoms include:
First symptom
Perda extrema de peso
Second symptom
Intense fear of gaining weight
Third symptom
Dizziness or fainting
6. Treatment and Prevention
Treatment
The treatment of anorexia is done through medications that help, for example, to reduce anxiety, and psychological monitoring is essential so that the disease does not afflict the patient again. The reintroduction of foods into the patient's diet should be gradual, to avoid damage to other regions of the body. The earlier anorexia is detected, the better the patient's chances of recovery, because the lack of adequate nutrition can lead to various health problems.
Prevention
The first step is to promote a realistic and healthy relationship with the body and weight In the case of people who have cases of eating disorders in the family, it is important that this strategy is even more intense, creating an environment of conversations about health and body image. In addition, in individuals with a predisposition or who show signs of developing anorexia, therapy is essential, so that they can receive adequate and continuous emotional support.
