In this story: -The theme is bullying and how difficult is to identify it for adults. - The parents care more about they're social status,because of this, Charles never expresses his feelings about the situation to them. -The author invites us to reflect on the importance of listening to the voice of those who are most vulnerable.

SUMMARY
This short story begins with the Manders family driving to St. Edward's Preparatory School,a high-ranking school, in Sussex for Charles' transfer. The kid was very anxious unlike his mother who was enthusiastic about it. While the parents were talking to the headmaster's wife, Charles met his new classmates and discovered that they didn't accept him,in fact, one of them threatened to beat him the next term. The story ends with the parents deciding to enroll Charles in school, completely ignoring his feelings and his discomfort.
