Framework for TA
Approach Housing Stability Planning with the understanding that people's needs will change over time. Consider plans that take into account a potential crisis along with potential future needs.
Strengths can include community connections, financial resources, work experience, and skills.
Individualized & Responsive Approach
Participant Choice Approach
Client choice is valuable in housing selection and service participation. Compromise may be necessary. It can be helpful to conference with clients on potential outcomes of key decisions or preferences.
Strengths-based Approach
This approach is founded in the belief that housing is the foundation for mental and physical health and that people need their basic needs met before they can address anything less crucial.
Housing First Approach
Long Term Stability Planning
“Equity is fairness and justice achieved through systematically assessing disparities in opportunities, outcomes, and representation and redressing (those) disparities through targeted actions” Urban Strategies Council
