Healing through Safe Homes.
The JOY International Mukit Home in Nepal provides safe housing, therapy, education, and advocacy for young trafficking survivors from 8 to 18 years of age.
Empowerment through Education
JOY International’s empowerment program in Uganda is about more than just sending girls to school. Through this program, vulnerable girls receive safety, food, clothing, hygiene supplies, medical care, and education to prevent them from being exploited or trafficked through child marriage and other local trafficking schemes.
Freedom through Rescues
In our 43-year history, JOY International has done undercover work and directly assisted with rescuing trafficking survivors. Today, JOY supports rescue operations by supporting anti-trafficking police teams to ensure arrests are made and perpetrators are prosecuted. In collaboration with our partners at The Asservo Project, JOY International provides training to police and anti-trafficking investigation teams internationally. JOY also financially supports the rescues performed by the teams, when needed.
Prevention through Awareness
JOY International is committed to bringing awareness to the plight of child trafficking and to educating communities, especially students and parents, about human trafficking and the growing issue of sextortion in the United States.
