The Creation of New Ideas
Humans are always observing the world around them and making connections with ideas or objects that already exist, as a result they develop new ideas.
Bending, Blending, Breaking
Bending refers to the taking of something, like an idea or an object, and then transforming it into something new. For example, in the arts, statues and sculptures in different cultures have different aspects, this shows that humans can take the same object , but will make it their own . Another example, in technology, is airplanes as they were created based on the way birds fly.

Blending is when two or more completly separate concepts are put together in order to form a new idea. For example in the natural sciences, genetic engineers take genes from different animals and form new organisms, usuallly bacteria, by mixing the dna

Breaking
Breaking happens when somebody takes something and breaks some of the aspects of that certain thing to turn it into something new. For example, in the arts, Cory Arcangel created an installation by taking the videogame Super Mario Brothers and removing everything, except the clouds.
New ideas come from old ideas, then carried on and later turned into new ones.
Derivation and Extrapolation
A lot of music genres derive from other music genres, Jazz music was created by a blend of African and Western music, and so the combination of jazz has also influenced newer styles., for example, hip hop.
The Arts
Sustainability and conservation has derived from earler ideas, like those of Thoreau and have evolved into modern movements that involve renewable energy. These areas of science continue to expand as the development of green energy influence new ideas in technology and even politics..

TThe creations of the mobile phone is a mix of earlier technologies, and nowdays mobile phones themselves are being a creation that serves as a platform for the development of innovations.
