Music of the Spheres
The music of the spheres is a philosophical concept that regards proportions in the movements of celestial bodies—the Sun, Moon, and planets—as a form of music. The theory, originating in ancient Greece, was a tenet of Pythagoreanism. They did not believe this "music" to be audible, but felt that it could be heard by the soul.
Bernstein said that musical meaning comes from comparing different musical elements and then our reaction to it.

The Meaning of music
When you say a song "means" something to you, you’re saying the song accurately reflects, in some way, your emotional state, or your culture, or your identity.
Pythagoras was the first to give us a meaning to music.
