Definition :

A white lie is is a lie that is told in order to be polite or to stop someone from being upset by the truth. It is to prevent minor trouble, or to make a situation easier.

Aria obviously wants us to believe that she was out of the hotel for no more than ten minutes, but with all the elements I’ve noted, it proves that we shouldn’t believe her.
